Good design is how a business performs for its users.
I started out just designing interfaces. Eventually I cared less about the screen and more about what was happening around it. How do decisions actually get made, whether the process holds together, or if the product still worked once no-one was watching anymore.
Business impact
I think about whether a design decision actually moves the business forward, not just whether it looks good. That means understanding the KPIs, knowing what's technically feasible, and making sure what ship still makes sense a year from now.
People
I run usability tests, surveys and other methods of user testing to adjust strategies based on what people actually do, the problems they really face and not what I assumed they'd do.
Systems
Building a design language and component library that scales and holds up across teams and platforms, so nobody's reinventing the wheel or quietly breaking something six months later.
Craft
The details are the job, not decoration on top of it. Typography, spacing, motion, the small stuff people feel but don't consciously notice. That's where trust in a product its built.
